The American Hungarian Executive Circle recognizes László Hámos, founder and President of the Hungarian Human Rights Foundation (HHRF), who passed away in April 2019. László’s life and work were remember on July 1 at a ceremony held at the Hungarian Parliament, in Budapest. Michael Geroe, AHEC Board member, was an HHRF intern while studying in New York City in the early 1990s. “ László was passionate about Hungary and protecting minority rights – he was a wonderful mentor and patient leader,” recalls Michael.
